Week IX.II

For some reason, this week has been full of its own little quirks, standing apart from all the other recent ones, wearing a silly party hat and a goofy tie in a month full of stiff-shirted serious weeks. 

Freebies:
3 movie passes
1 voucher for a complimentary haircut at a classy Biltmore salon
2 theater tickets to a contemporary retelling of an Old English folktale, for which I had to scrounge for a date on Facebook.  (Insert ashamed, downcast eyes here).  Only, my date got in a car accident on the way there, so I still ended up attending solo, three-wheeling it with my coworker and her super tall husband. 
An entire 9x13 pan of tropically-flavored jello from a friend - we all have that friend, right?
24 bagels from a generous parent at work + pumpkin smear.  Yes, I ate all of them, duh.  
A COSTCO MEMBERSHIP WITH MY ROOMMATE NICOLE BECAUSE WE'RE BASICALLY MARRIED AND NOW I CAN BUY BUTTER IN BULK. 

Festivities:
1 wedding reception
2 bridal showers
1 magnificently terrifying shark party 
1 dating panel I was asked to participate in but didn't because of...well, lack of experience...

Food: 
1 batch of salted caramel popcorn
1 sprinkle-covered zucchini cinnamon birthday cake
10 Funfetti popsicles
16 spiced chocolate chip cookies
6 white chocolate blueberry cheesecakes (!!!!) - 5 for a wedding + 1 for, uh, research? 

Frivolities:
2 first pumpkins of the season (heart-eyes emoji) 
THE BIGGEST flood Phoenix has ever seen, which pleasantly found its way into our living room and up through my bedroom carpet.  Yea! 
2 leather sewing projects that turned out much better than expected
3 of the best workouts, including THEEE HARDEST leg day ever and then 80 burpees in a row.  Hurt so good. 

And this was the moon Thursday.
